The Producer and Wedding Planner




"The wedding planners working for others to enjoy, are who bear full responsibility for the event but have no credit and do not enjoy the experience, who make the dirty work for someone who can afford to not have that experience, that tension that creates responsibility of cultural production. "

This week-long event aims to highlight:

  • artistic practice in the era of capitalism cultural
  • the relationship with the public in shaping the knowledge and content and
  • the status of the image in the digital age.

this through: an exhibition-flow, two workshops and talks.

The event will take place May 4 to May 11 with the following schedule:

4 to 6 May : Workshop Survival Kit self-managed projects given by Eduardo Ramírez. 5-7 pm, cost $ 400 ( more information )
5, 6 and 7 May : Exhibition-flow Images in transit of Marsantonelo. Openings 8 PM, admission free.
7 and May 9 : Workshop None Zero Band / New Theories and possibilities within the music video and the music industry marsantonelo given by . 5-7 pm, cost $ 400 ( more information )
May 10 : Mesa The producer and wedding planner with Diana Cuellar participation, marsantonelo and Eduardo Ramírez. 7.30 PM, admission free.
May 11 : closing ceremony and installation of waste exposure.


Expo-flow: Images marsantonelo transit.

In this time when the image, by technology, becomes a flow, the resignation to the awareness of image production and the disintegration of its forms dislocate the formal structures and readings, opening a gap that underscores the possibility of other uses and meanings.

In this exhibition, the wall will not be used as a support fixed images, but as a projection space that transit images. For that reason, each day there will be a different sample.

Thursday May 5. Screening in two channels of the 165 photographs of the forest.
Friday 6 May. 16 photographic images on the wall without warrant, photograph "dogs" Saturday
May 7 . 8 photographic images on the wall c / card, 8 photographic images on the wall without identification card, picture postcard dogs and Thomas Demand.


Workshop: Survival Kit for self-managed projects

The workshop will between conceptual tools and practical strategies for self-managed work context within the flexible working scheme and survive the precarious process of cultural production that is subjected. Delivered by Eduardo Ramírez. (More info )


Workshop None Zero Band / New Theories and possibilities within the music video and the music industry

This workshop will seek to generate an analysis of the musical context, the models which underpin the industry and the technology used for distribution to explore new possibilities in production, creation and dissemination of music video. Delivered by Marsantonelo. (More info )


Mesa producer as wedding planner.

To emphasize the importance of all sectors of cultural production, it opens a space for dialogue to build social experiences and highlight the role of producer and host as rockstar. Eduardo Ramírez involved Pedrajo, Marsantonelo and Diana Cuellar.




Marsantonelo
lives and works in Monterrey, Nuevo León.
Content Producer and Editor. Her BA Visual Arts and Media in CEDIM. Member of The Orgy, contemporary art. None the project develops Zero (Zero Band None, None Zero Gallery)
has participated in group exhibitions in Barcelona (Es), Saint Etienne (Fr) and MUCA Roma (Mx) and worked with curators as Santoscoy and Jeniffer Paola Teets .
has worked in management and in the explanatory microcuradurías Cerrillo Raul Alejandro Nuñez Ferrara and various exhibitions.

Eduardo Ramírez
teacher, researcher and critic.
cultural criticism has served as editor of velocidadcrítica, in books such as The Triumph of Cultural, economic and political use of culture in Monterrey, intellectual property, new technologies and free access to culture, and now in the virtual Suicide Blog .
studied English Literature and a Masters in Specialized Journalism at the Tec and a PhD in Entrepreneurship and Theories of Culture in the UDLAP.
texts with their projects or had participated in the First Biennial of Prague, Documenta XII, magazine, and the Meeting of Researchers and Critical Art in Montevideo, Uruguay.
