Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
is essential that the participant lleba your own laptop
should send a brief portfolio of work done which should be related to the visual arts, media, or music. Not having it, submit a letter of reasons which explain their concerns to take the workshop may be sufficient.
The following sections describe the profile of the student, stating that they are not prerequisites:

1 Familiarization with any operating system mac, windows or linux
2 Student or trained graphic designer, visual artist, architect,
musician or sound engineering.

6 if the participant still does not study race professional must have at least
interest in the subject and access to a computer to give continuity to that
learn in the workshop.
7 is not necessary to know how to play a musical instrument, but having an appreciation for
music and sound helps a lot.
CONTENT
The workshop is primarily aimed at sound design and its relationship with the moving image for art projects multimedia through free software.
MODULE 1
Digital and Analog Sound
Theory session: 1) The specific sound in music and its importance in
media.
Hands On: 1) sound recording tool Audacity.
2) sound sampling exercises with Pure Data.
Sound Synthesis with Pure Data
Theory session: 1) Brief history of the synthesizer and electronic music.
2) Components of a synthesizer.
Hands On: 1) Creating a virtual synthesizer.
Interactivity and Automation with Pure Data
Theory session: 1) sound art and new technologies.
Hands On: 1) Create a graphical interface to control a synthesizer.
2) programming of automatic functions for a synthesizer.
3) Drivers and other external midi.
live video processing with GEM
Theory session: 1) Video live art and entertainment.
Hands On: 1) Create a virtual video mixer.
2) Programming of live camera filters.
3) programming of automatic functions for video processing.
Synthesis of Pure Data with GEM Image
Theory session: 1) The image produced from data.
Hands On: 1) Create 3D geometric shapes with movement
, 2) programming to mimic organic forms.

VS Sound Image Interactivity
Hands On: 1) Integration of the language Pure Data (sound) and GEM (image). For an interdisciplinary result.
MODULE 2
Through a small network of participants This workshop participate openly in a forum where they present their projects and provide knowledge and sources of information.
In this case the students already have basic knowledge in order to make a project which in practice makes perfect their knowledge based on research driven by concerns developed throughout the course.
The projects to be undertaken should be directed towards experimentation taking references audiovisual knowledge and concerns raised during the first module.
