DESCRIPTION :
The workshop focuses on getting participants to acquire historical elements, social skills and that allow not only have a better understanding of the artistic production of the last decades, but also to generate a critical position in relation to contemporary artistic.
The workshop consists of three core elements:
Historical Context. Arises as a phase of historical context of artistic production and movements have been occurring in the last 5 decades, enabling students to acquire a kind archive file which you can use to recognize history and influences on contemporary works
Social Context. Tried to analyze the socio-cultural conditions in which the artistic graft in order to understand its relevance. Explaining the reasons why artists choose to use media and specific speech, emphasizing the role played by the specific context of the artist in that election.
theoretical elements. In this last part will provide the student with theoretical tools, to generate readings and analysis of artistic works. By the end of this stage the student should be familiar general semiotics, art theory and curatorial.
